How to publish your news online
News Agents need to register and create an account for him/herself to let publish their news online.
Registration process is only for creating an account and choosing the account type: Reader, News Agent or Columnist. Account creation includes: choosing username, which is your e-mail address, password, and choosing an alias to publish news under.
Once the News Agent registered and created an account, then he/she can publish her/his news online in the following single step:
First, the agent has to be logged-on. Once the agent is logged-on, he/she needs to go to "My News / Columns" section. On that page, the agent has to click on "Submit News". This screen will provide him the list of information to be filled by the News Agent.
By default, the "News Status" will be "Being Edited". It can also be "Cancelled" or "Approved: Publish". If the news is published when "Being Edited" is selected, the news will not be published, but will be available for the News Agent, in the "My News / Columns" -> "News Submitted" section to be edited and published later. Once the News Agent is ready to publish after filling all the information, he/she needs to select "Approved: Publish" before clicking "Submit". This will make the news publicly available.
Right under "News Status", there is the region (Town, City, State, Zipcode) of the news that the agent might enter. If no region is entered, it will be assumed that the news is regarding the entire country: USA.
Right below the "Submit" button, the actual news content: the title and body of the news need to be entered.
Important Note: If you are submitting news from another news source, e.g. AP, CNN, etc, please only provide up-to 120 words of the original news and the web-site URL for the rest of the content.
