2. Data we collect
Registered user information is only accessible to that registered user. Registered users will receive e-mails from us regarding their account changes only. However a registered user will get e-mail notifications for the news and columns that they subscribed and requested to receive e-mails about them.
We collect personal information only if you provide it to us directly. Please do not post any personal information on Open News Network's news, columns or reviews that you expect to keep private.
Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including your IP address, page URL, and timestamp. Web logs help us to diagnose problems with our server, to administer the Open News Network site, and to otherwise provide our service to you.
3. Data we store
All news, columns and reviews that are posted at our site are stored in our database, even after "deletion," and may be archived elsewhere.
Our web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
Subscribers can manage their subscriptions through the My Subscriptions page.
Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.
4. Archiving and display of Open News Network postings by search engines and other sites
Search engines and other sites not affiliated with Open News Network - including archive.org and google.com - archive or otherwise make available Open News Network postings, including news, columns and reviews.
